What a show by our Chhories of India at Asian Games 2018.

World has been seeing the power of Indian women in Asian Games 2018, one after another, our girls are winning medals for the country and making whole India proud.

Dream start was given by none other than Vinesh Phogat. Vinesh Phogat, the Dangal girl created history by winning gold in the women’s 50kg freestyle wrestling event in #AsianGames. #VineshPhogat became the first Indian woman wrestler to strike gold at the continental games. At Twitter congratulations poured in for @Phogat_Vinesh by thousands of Indians including the Bollywood celebrities. She is living the dream. Rahi Sarnobat became the first Indian female shooter to win the gold at the Asian Games, achieving the rare feat after a nail biting 25m air pistol finals. The 27-year-old Rahi held her nerve to pip Thailand’s Naphaswan Yangpaiboon in a heart-stopping contest after both were tied at 34 points following 10 series of five shots each, taking it to a shoot-off. Both shooters achieved four target hits , leading to another shoot-off where Rahi shot three and the Thai two, ensuring a historic gold for the Kohlapur-born shooter.

Dutee clinched silver in 100m dash on debut. She was determined and made it happen. What she saw in dreams has come true for the young shooter of India.

Hima Das, India’s new track sensation shattered national record for 2nd time to win silver in 400m at Asian Games 2018. Hima clocked 50.59 seconds to win the silver, behind Bahrain’s Salwa Naser who won the gold in a new Games record time of 50.09 seconds. If Hima keeps going like this, she is the new PT Usha of India!

Joshna chinappa won bronze in Asian games squash. She looked tired but fought very hard and turned her efforts into a medal.

Dipika pallikal, beloved squash queen of India also won bronze in women’s squash.

Indian shooter Heena Sidhu continued her medal winning spree and acquired a bronze medal in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol event at the ongoing 18th edition of the Asian games. The 28-year-old scored a total of 219.2 points to finish third on the podium. Teenage shooting queen of India, Manu Bhaker missed the opportunity this time but iChhori has a great confidence in her and she will be back with bang we bet.

Indian women’s Kabaddi team had to settle for a silver medal in the ongoing 18th edition of the Asian Games. They went down 24-27 against the Iranian side in the summit clash in a heart breaking defeat by loosing the crown first time in 8 years.

Ankita Raina won a bronze medal after losing to Shuai Zhang of China in women’s singles event semi-final at Asian Games 2018. Raina had earlier thrashed Wong Eudice Chong of Hong Kong 6-4, 6-1 in the quarter-final of the event.
