STDs: Definition, Types, Treatment:-
Sexually Transmitted Diseases or infections are transmitted from sexual contact. They are passed through anal, vaginal, oral or any kind of sexual contact.
There are eight types of STDs which are as follows:-
1,Chlamydia – It is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases. Chlamydia typically has no noticeable symptoms. But some of the most common signs of developing it includes acute pain and severe discomfort while urinating and doing sex. There would be unusual discharge from the vagina or penis and the colour may be green or colour. Pain in the lower abdomen is also one of its symptoms.
2.Human papillomavirus(HPV) – The transmission of HPV is only possible through intimacy which means skin to skin contact during sexual orientation. This virus has got different strains. Almost every strain of it is dangerous. The most common symptom of it is the occurrence of warts on the genitals, mouth, and throat. If HPV infection is severe it can lead to oral, penile, rectal cancers. Although there is no perfect treatment for it, these infections often clean up on their own.
3.Syphilis – Syphilis is another bacterial infection that causes small round sore popularly known as a chance which further gets develop on your genitals, anus, or mouth. The lesser is the pain in this disease, the more is the chances of getting severely infected from this. The most common symptoms are rash, headaches, joint pain etc. If it does not get treated properly with antibiotics it may lead to loss of vision, hearing, mental illness and many such various issues. All pregnant women are tested for this since it is a very fatal disease.
4.Human Immunodeficiency Virus(HIV) – HIV is such a deadly disease that it can damage the whole of the immunity system and can stimulate the risk of other virus or bacteria and sometimes leading to fatal forms of cancers. The carelessness in treatment of it can lead HIV into the third stage which later gets transformed into AIDS. You can limit the risk of transmission to another person if you detect this at an early stage.
5.Gonorrhoea – Gonorrhea is also known as 'the clap'. People who are infected from it generally does not face symptoms easily. Its symptoms include unusual discharge from the penis or vagina which may be yellow, green or beige colour. You will feel the urge to urinate frequently and there would be itching and irritation around the genitals. If not treated properly it can further lead to infertility, infections in the urethra, prostate gland and testicles. Sometimes it may cause pelvic inflammatory disease.
6.Trichomoniasis – Trichomoniasis has another name known as “trich.” It is commonly caused by a tiny protozoan organism that can be transmitted from one person to another through contact. Common symptoms of trich include discomfort and pain during sexual orientation, frequent urge to urinate and burning sensation around the vagina or penis.
7.Herpes Simplex Virus(HSV) – This virus consists of two strains namely HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both can be transmitted through sexual orientation. It's a very rare disease since 1 out of 6 people gets this disease. HSV-1 is known to cause oral herpes leading to cold sores. It can get transmitted through oral sex from one person's mouth to another person's mouth. Pregnant women must get checked for this disease since they may pass the same to the fetus present in the woman to a newborn baby.
8.Pubrabs– Crabs are tiny insects that can take up a place on your pubic hair. Its forms include head lice and body lice which feeds on human blood primarily. Common symptoms of it include mild fever, irritation around the anus.
