Women have always played an important role, whether be it in a corporate sector to increase the growth of the nation or taking of the house to raise the family well. Women have always been considered as the pillars of strength and they stepping out of the four confined walls of her house to prove the world that she is capable of doing a lot of things at home and also at work. And some of the amazing women who have proved the world of their capabilities and they not only created a place for themselves in society but also have inspired other women to follow their path and create their own destinies. And they are as follows:


  • The Founder of VLCC – Vandana Luthra – She founded VLCC in 1989, which is a beauty and slimming service center, and later she had upgraded her company and had added services such as full-body laser, grooming, and dermal services, and also hair build. She is an Indian Philanthropist, businesswoman, and the chairperson of B&WSSC (Beauty and Wellness sector skill council). Vandana Luthra has been running an NGO named ‘Khushii’ which offers educational scholarships (free education) to those who are underprivileged and physically challenged. And for her good work for society and creating an empire of her own she was awarded the Padma Shree in 2013 by president Pranab Mukherjee.
  • Founder of BIOCON Ltd. – Kiran Shaw Mazumdar – Even at the age of 68 Kiran Shaw Mazumdar is still considered as one of the most successful women entrepreneurs in India. She founded BIOCON Ltd. Which is a biopharmaceutical firm in 1978. It is the first company as per Forbes to approval from the USFDA (Food and Drug Administration) and she was also titled as India’s 54th richest person and the world’s 65th most powerful woman in the year 2019.
  • The Chairperson of Park Hotel – Priya Paul – At the age of 51 Priya Paul, the Chairperson of Apeejay Surrendra Park hotels. After completing her studies, she started working as a Marketing Manager under her father’s guidance and slowly she emerged as India’s one of the most influential women.
  • Fashion Designer- Ritu Kumar – Ritu Kumar started her Fashion career in the city of Kolkata where she was known for her bridal wear and evening clothes and later on she expanded her business and moved to cities like New York and France. She was also awarded the prestigious Padma Shree in the year 2012 for her amazing contribution in the field of fashion and emerging out as an influential woman.
  • The Co-Founder of Menstrupedia – Aditi Gupta – Aditi Gupta, an author by profession co-founded Menstrupedia along with her Husband. Menstrupedia is a comic illustration that educates girls about menstruation. And in the year she launched a campaign called the ‘Touch the Pickle’ along with Whisper which was a school program for the school and it took place in four different Indian cities.
  • Founder of Nykaa- Falguni Nayar – Falguni Nayar, an investment banker by profession left her job with Kotak Mahindra and started Nykaa in the year 2012. Nykaa, a cosmetic brand that offers 850 brands and 35 physical stores, is a hit among Indian ladies. She was entitled with the ‘Most powerful Business’ in the year 2017 by Business Today. And not only that she was awarded the ‘Woman Ahead’ by the Economic Times. Nykaa has also partnered up with Femina since 2014.
  • Founder and CEO of LimeRoad- Suchi Mukherjee – Suchi Mukherjee’s LimeRoad was created in the year 2012. Which sells clothing and lifestyle accessories online. She was awarded the ‘Coolest Startup of the Year’ by ‘Business Today’ and ‘Infocom Woman of the year’ by ‘Digital Business’ and ‘Unicorn Startup award’ by ‘NDTV’. And in today’s competitive online world LimeRoad is still considered one of the most popular shopping websites for men and women.
  • Founder of the Kalaari Capital – Vani Kola – Vani Kola, the founder and the managing director of Kalaari Capital is a venture capitalist who did a partnership with New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and started an operation with a 150 million dollar fund. She was also awarded the TiE Delhi NCR 5th Edition of Women Entrepreneurship Summit Award in the year 2018.
  • A board member of Amazon – Indira Nooyi – Titled as the ‘world’s 11th powerful woman’ in the year 2017 as per Forbes, Indira Nooyi has worked with all the big shots. From being the product Manager of Johnson & Johnson to being the CEO of Pepsico from 2006-2018, and later being elected as the Board Member of Amazon in the year 2019.
  • CMO and Co-Founder of Shopcules.com –Radhika Ghai Agarwal – Radhika’s company which was started in silicon valley now serves more than nine thousand cities and has around 7 million users each month and thus becoming India’s one of the first fully managed online marketplace.
  • Founder and CEO of Safeducate – Divya Jain – Safeducate a corporal training institute with more than 70,000 students, Divya Jain has turned the drab containers into fully air-conditioned rooms which run with solar energy. She develops a training pool and a proficient supply of logistics professionals in India.
  • Co-Founder of absolutdata – Sudeshna Datta – Sudeshna Dutta, who has played an important role in companies like Pfizer and Kraft foods started her own company Absolutdata in 2001. She is also an active supporter of animal welfare, supporting women and children, and many such good deeds.
