Sun rays are the strongest between 10am to 4pm so should avoid going out at these times. This is the first and the foremost think that will prevent you from the sun. the UV rays are very dangerous and the clouds fail to protect you due to the increasing pollution. 
Applying sun screen: 
Sun screen can highly be effective for protecting the skin. Use a least of SPF 15 suns screen for best results. Even on days when the sun is not so strong you should carry sun screens. 
Protective Clothing: 
Always try to wear cloths with full sleeves so that your arms and hands stay protected. In addition to this wear long pants and hats to cover legs, face and the neck area.
